So on wednesday i was wrecked, like i could have sat down and slept in water naked , kinda tired, but its amzing if you can just get out the door and struggle tslowly through the first few mins.
Your body puts aside the tiredness and fires into life, your like an old diesel, it takes a while to get going but then after a while you can roar along.
The plan called for 10 min warm up and the 5 by 1km @3.40 pace, it sounded hard and fuck it is, but i set aside the devil on my shoulder saying you will puke on the 3rd interval or your too tired for such a hard session and i just hit it man.
I nailes the 5 of them with only 90 secs recovery between each, yeah i had to lie on the middle of the road for a minute afetr the last one but god, my legs felt fast, has my leg spped incresed, it feels like it has and the track repeats i have been doing on tuesday eveninga re designed to improve leg speed as well as my vo2 max, and i think its working, i was ready to go after a short recovery and had the leg lift even at the end, Then the day after i decided to do the tempo session, i know not enough rest but i mught have a race on sunday or do 20 miles or most likely both over the 2 days, so i wanted to get the sesison in and be kinda recovered for then.
So off i went in the rain (jesus i am doing some amount of running in the rain lately) and i did 10 mins warm up and 4 miles @6.40 pace, whicvh thank god felt comfortable and 10 mins warm down, left shin a little sore but thats from the injured ankle last year and 2 hard sessions back to back.
God i can see how people over train, this shit is addictive, at the mo i am living to run, did not think i would ever say that again, just have to make sure i am smart about it, it would be some shame to have to sit on me arse for 7 weeks again,
